Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the Afghan people are facing hunger and famine. The problem is not with the Taliban but with 38 million Afghans.
In a statement regarding the extraordinary meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Allah has bestowed honor and success on Pakistan. The participation of Foreign Ministers in the meeting is a great achievement for Pakistan. 437 delegations participated in this historic meeting held in Pakistan.
He said that they have succeeded in setting up a trust fund for Afghanistan, brought a resolution on restoration of Afghanistan’s banking system, this is a great development, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have played a joint role.
Shah Mehmood said that the problem is not of Taliban but of 38 million Afghan people, Afghan people are facing hunger and famine, Afghanistan urgently needs medicine and food, if there is money to pay salaries then schools will also run. He added that the United States should reconsider its decision in the eyes of the people.
