Israeli police have severely beaten an Associated Press photographer, news sources reported.

According to The Independent, Israeli police beat an Associated Press photographer while covering a demonstration in one of Jerusalem’s neighborhoods, and he was taken to hospital.

The Associated Press said in a statement that it was outraged by Israeli police violence against one of its employees, Mahmoud Ilyan. A group of pro-journalists called for disciplinary action against the offending officers of the Zionist regime police.
