Federal Minister Shibli Faraz has said that Pakistan’s first national cannabis policy has been prepared and it has been sent to the federal cabinet for approval. One window operation will be launched under the regulatory authority.
According to details, the Ministry of Science and Technology has prepared a national cannabis policy and sent it to the federal cabinet for approval.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz said that innumerable applications were being received for cannabis cultivation. In the first phase, 100 companies were issued cannabis cultivation licenses. Shibli Faraz said that cannabis policy was formulated after consultation with stakeholders In this regard, the Ministry of Education, Commerce, Agriculture, Counter Narcotics were consulted.
The Federal Minister said that cameras would be installed in the field around the boundary wall of the cannabis cultivation area. The global market for cannabis is more than 100 billion. He further said that cannabis policy was made for medical and industrial cultivation. Will reduce imports of medicines and textiles.
