Sanaa: We carried out extensive and unique operations deep in Saudi territory.
In response to the Saudi coalition’s repeated aggression against Yemen, Sanaa announced that it had launched a large-scale and unique operation deep inside Saudi territory on Monday evening.
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced an offensive deep inside Saudi Arabia.
“In response to the crimes of the aggressor Saudi-American coalition, the Yemeni armed forces carried out a large-scale and unique offensive operation deep in Saudi territory,” Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Yemeni army and popular committees, wrote on Twitter.
The Sanaa military official clarified that he would announce the details of the operation this Tuesday morning.
News sources reported on Monday evening that the Yemeni Ansarullah movement had launched a missile attack on Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi aggressor coalition claims that the Saudi air defense intercepted and shot down two ballistic missiles fired at Riyadh.
The Saudi coalition continues to threaten Sanaa, saying it will strike with an iron fist as part of international humanitarian law to protect civilians.
The Saudi coalition called Ansarullah’s missile response to the coalition’s ongoing air and ground attacks on Yemeni territory a threat to Saudi territory, and said it had launched a large-scale operation against the al-Houthi movement.
Al-Mayadin, meanwhile, confirmed to local sources in Saudi Arabia that explosions had been heard in Riyadh.
Al-Mayadin reported, citing data, that the Yemeni Armed Forces operation is still ongoing.
The network also said that the operation against Riyadh was carried out with ballistic missiles and several UAVs.
