Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that we are aware of the plight of the poorest people due to inflation. In this regard, he directed to expedite the process of registration of grocery stores under Ehsas Ration Program for the maximum benefit of poor families.
According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan to review the progress of steps taken under Ehsas Ration Program. The meeting was attended by Special Poverty Assistant Dr. Sania Nishtar, Finance Advisor Shaukat Tareen, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid, SAPM for Political Liaison Shahbaz Gul and concerned senior officers.
The Prime Minister said that the government is taking all possible steps to provide more relief to the common man, people are suffering due to inflation, we are giving subsidy to the poorest people on essentials. The program will be launched on December 15 across the country.
He said in the briefing that registration of grocery stores is underway under the program, so far more than 15000 grocery stores have been registered.
