According to details, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry, while offering talks to the opposition, said that he once again asked the opposition to come to the Speaker’s office instead of the court. We would welcome the suggestions of the opposition for reforms.
He said that the opposition members would remove all the concerns on the EVM system. In his message on microblogging website Twitter, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Overseas Pakistanis could not back down on their right to vote. This was our election promise.
In a Twitter message, Fawad Chaudhry said that the next two years would decide the politics of the next two decades of Pakistan’s history. The family politics of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari is a thing of the past. Now it is the turn of new players in the opposition. The next two years will determine the politics of the next two decades of Pakistan’s history. The politics of the 1990s are set to end in the next two years.
It may be recalled that a joint sitting of the Parliament was convened yesterday in which the Parliament passed the Electoral Reforms Second Amendment Bill 2021.
It may be recalled that the opposition has announced to go to court against the passage of the Electoral Reforms Bill, while the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing a joint sitting of Parliament yesterday, termed the EVM machine as a devilish machine. He said that the elected government cannot go to the people for voting. While Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto had also announced that he would not accept the results of the forthcoming elections, saying that the Speaker and the government were making the next elections controversial, the electronic voting machine would not accept them.
