A virus has been detected in the city of Karachi which has symptoms of dengue. In this regard, the head of Molecular Pathology Dow University Dr. Saeed Khan said that patients of such virus are coming in the city who have symptoms of dengue but dengue. The patient’s test is negative.
He said that in such patients white blood cells and platelets are also declining while it may be another variant of dengue, further research is being done on this issue. Dr. Saeed Khan said that citizens should cover their body completely. Do not let water stand in the street, house, neighborhood.
On the other hand, Dr. Muhammad Zohaib of Children’s Hospital Karachi says that mega and random units of platelets are not available for such patients while Zeeshan Hussain, pathologist of Sindh Rangers Hospital said that fortunately no one is infected with this virus yet. No casualties.
Leading hematologist Dr Saqib Ansari says such cases have been reported since 2008, with two out of every 10 patients complaining of dengue classical fever, which needs further investigation.
