1,500 members of the resigned government joined the Yemeni resistance.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government announced the arrival of 1,500 members of the resigned government in Sanaa and pledged allegiance to the army and popular committees.
Hussein al-Azi, deputy foreign minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government (based in Sanaa), wrote on his Twitter page last night (Thursday) that 1,500 Saudi-affiliated militants in Ma’rib had entered the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and resigned from the government. Mansour Hadi are separated.
According to the Al-Khobar Al-Yameni website, he wrote: “Nearly 1,500 troops from the beloved sons of Marib have returned to Sanaa. “We honor the arrival of these loved ones with dignity and tell them that you are welcome to your capital and to your family and region.”
He congratulated Yemeni Ansarullah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi on the return of the ousted government militia to the Yemeni army and resistance forces.
At the same time, a delegation from the tribes of Al-Abdiya, Ma’rib and Shabwa, which have just been liberated from the occupation of mercenaries from the Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition, met with Yemeni Ansar al-Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi.
Al-Masira news network reported that during the meeting, the Ansarullah leader ordered the release of prisoners in al-Abbiya. He also called on local officials in Ma’rib and Shabwa provinces to pay attention to citizens in the liberated areas.
Al-Houthi further called on the residents of al-Abdiya and all liberated areas to accept the general peace and work with the central government to establish security and stability in the country.
Before meeting with Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the tribal leaders of Ma’rib province also met with “Hamoud Ebad,” the mayor of Sanaa, at the Sanaa Municipality building, and were welcomed by him. The mayor of Sanaa said during the meeting that the presence of leaders and members of the Ma’rib tribes in the city would destroy all the Saudi coalition’s ill-fated propaganda of enmity among the Yemeni people and redouble the will to fight for the liberation and independence of Yemen.
On the other hand, Colonel “Yahya Mohsen Dardakh”, a security official from Ma’rib, along with a number of his men, arrived in Sanaa yesterday and announced that they had left the resigned government of Mansour Hadi.
In the past week, dozens of forces and officers affiliated with the resigned government have also entered Sanaa after seceding from the Saudi coalition, declaring allegiance to the army and popular committees. Among them were Saleh Ali Hilal, head of security at the Hadi government’s officers’ office in Ma’rib, and Colonel Raid Saleh, commander of the Fifth Special Brigade Battalion, arrived in Sanaa on Monday with a number of troops under his command.
The influx of tribal leaders, militants and Mansour Hadi’s government officials into the Yemeni army and popular committees has accelerated after Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Sari last week called on Saudi coalition elements in Marib to lay down their arms and take advantage of the amnesty and enter Sanaa.
According to Yemeni sources, only two cities remain until the complete liberation of Ma’rib province, and clashes between army forces and Yemeni People’s Committees with Hadi forces have now reached 10 km from the Al-Falaj area at the southern entrance to Ma’rib city.
