Is Yemeni army trying to liberate Ma’rib without bloodshed through agreement with tribal leaders?
Al-Akhbar Lebanon reported on the efforts made by the Yemeni National Salvation Government a few days ago to conquer the city without a war and through agreements with tribal leaders.
Tribal sources noted that tribal leaders welcomed the plan by Yemeni Ansar al-Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi to remove the war from their territories.
Sanaa’s agreements with the Ma’rib tribes have reached the “Obaida” tribe so that the city of Ma’rib can be controlled by Ansarullah without war or bloodshed.
Tribal sources added that the leaders of the Al-Jadaan, Murad and Al-Ashraf tribes, and some of the leaders of the Ubaydah tribes, are seeking the surrender of Marib without war or bloodshed.
This coincides with the presence of the Yemeni army and popular committees at the city gates.
Yemeni sources said that tribal understandings have accelerated in recent days and that the consultation is being held in secret so that the Saudi-led coalition does not retaliate and bomb the tribes.
According to tribal sources, most of the leaders of the “Obaidah” tribes prefer peace to war because they have many interests within the city of Ma’rib.
