The government gave another shock to the inflation-stricken people and increased the price of electricity. The federal cabinet has approved to increase the price of electricity, after which the price of electricity has been increased by Rs 68 paise, a summary of the increase was sent by the Ministry of Energy.

On the other hand, the government is also preparing to increase the prices of petroleum products, which is expected to be announced today. OGRA has sent a summary to the Ministry of Finance, in which recommendations have been made to increase the prices of petroleum products by up to Rs. In the summary sent by OGRA, it has been proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs 5.90 per liter and high speed diesel by Rs 10 per liter.
According to media sources, the final approval of the price hike will be given by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The new prices will be implemented after the notification of the Finance Ministry. However, it is also possible to provide relief to the people by reducing petroleum levy and sales tax.
