Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Energy Tabish Gohar has resigned. The Prime Minister has also accepted his resignation. Energy Minister Hamad Azhar was not happy with Tabish Gohar’s performance. Tabish Gohar is accused of benefiting local refineries.
According to details, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Energy Tabish Gohar has resigned, on which Prime Minister Imran Khan has accepted the resignation of Tabish Gohar. Sources said that Energy Minister Hamad Azhar was not happy with Tabish Gohar’s performance. He had expressed reservations in a meeting with the Prime Minister.
Tabish Gohar is accused of benefiting local refineries. This month, on September 13, proposals for advance concessions for local refineries were made at the COSI meeting. In the meeting, Tabish Gohar’s proposals were rejected by Hamad Azhar and Asad Umar.
It may be recalled that in October last year, Tabish Gohar was appointed as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Energy. He later became the founder and head of Oasis, a company that provides consulting and support in the power and energy sectors.
Later in March this year, after leaving the post of Nadeem Babar’s Special Assistant for Petroleum, the Prime Minister had given additional charge of Special Assistant for Petroleum to Tabish Gohar in his place.
