Federal Minister Asad Umar has said that the cantonment board elections have proved again that PTI is the only majority party in the country and Prime Minister Imran Khan is the only national leader.
In his statement on social networking website Twitter, Federal Minister Asad Umar said He said that PTI has been in the first or second position in every province in the cantonment board elections. He said that Noon League could not get any seat in Balochistan, PPP has no seat in Punjab.
It is to be noted that unconfirmed and unofficial results of the local body elections of cantonment boards held across the country yesterday came out. In 212 wards of 41 cantonment boards of the country, 1560 candidates competed.
According to unconfirmed and unofficial results, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) came first with 63 candidates while PML-N came second with 59 candidates.
According to unconfirmed and unofficial results, 52 independent candidates won while 17 PPP candidates, 10 MQM candidates, 7 Jamaat-e-Islami candidates, 2 BAP and 2 ANP candidates won.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged as the only federal party in the country.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the real competition of PTI was with independent candidates, the status of PPP and PML-N was revealed again.
On the other hand, Punjab government spokesman Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan has said that PTI has emerged as a chain of all provinces in the cantonment board elections.
