Special Food Security Assistant Jamshed Iqbal Cheema said that the government will release wheat next week, the price of wheat flour will be Rs 55 per kg and the price of 20 kg bags will be up to Rs 1100, more deserving people will get flour at Rs 43 per kg.
According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan had a detailed meeting with top officials of the Ministry of Finance, Food, Food Security and other relevant departments, including the price of wheat and flour, the release of government wheat, the supply of quality flour to the public at cheaper rates. The price of wheat has been fixed at Rs 1,950 per quintal, bringing the price of flour to Rs 55 per kg and the price of 20 kg bags to Rs 1,100 per quintal. Talks were held but all the provinces will discuss it in the cabinet meetings and take a final decision.
In a statement, he said that the current price of flour in India is Rs 56 per kg, in Bangladesh it is Rs 80 and in Afghanistan it is more. Will maintain Data is available for those who are poorer. He said that he hoped that the provinces would start releasing official wheat from next week and its price would be fixed at the same price. Jamshed Iqbal Cheema said that the government has ample reserves of wheat, the government will have a liberal policy for the release of wheat.
