Pakistan opened the Wagah border for transportation. The Wagah border was closed on May 22 due to corona virus. With the opening of the border, transportation activities have been resumed from both Pakistan and India. According to Home Ministry sources, after the removal of India from Category C, the flow of people on both sides of the Wagah route has started. The Wagah border was closed from May 22 to August 12 due to the corona virus.
Due to which trade between Pakistan and India via Wagah was closed. Now the instructions of NCOC are being ensured during the journey. After the opening of the border, citizens of both the countries will be able to come to each other’s country from Wagah border.
However, trade between Pakistan and India via Wagah is currently closed. Trade activities were suspended on August 5, 2019 following Indian initiatives on Kashmir.
On the other hand, 83 more people died of corona virus in 24 hours across the country. According to a statement issued by the National Command and Operations Center, 61,128 tests were carried out in the country in the last 24 hours to diagnose corona, of which 3,689 were confirmed to be corona virus.
