Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi said that during Operation Somnath, Pakistan Navy ships attacked the Indian port of Dwarka and reduced the pride of the enemy to dust. On the occasion of Naval Day 2021, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi “September 8, Naval Day is a great and memorable day in our national history, a reminder of the everlasting sacrifices and passions of the merchants of the Pakistan Navy,” he said in the message.
During Operation Somnath, Pakistan Navy ships attacked the Indian port of Dwarka, destroyed the Indian radar station and reduced the enemy’s arrogance to dust.
The Naval Chief said that the lone submarine of Pakistan Navy kept the entire Indian Navy confined in Indian ports during the war. Pakistan Navy is recognized as a strong naval force in the region. The Pakistan Navy, in collaboration with the International Naval Forces, is ensuring peace and stability in global waters through joint maritime security measures.
The Chief of Naval Staff said that today the officers, CPOs, sailors and civilians of Pakistan Navy pledge to remain steadfast till the last breath and the last drop of blood in case of invincible defense of the country and any aggression.
