Construction of a new Zionist settlements in the north of the West Bank.
According to the International News Group, the Zionist regime has begun construction of a new settlemenst in the city of Jenin in the north of the West Bank. Zionist officials began construction of a new settlement by moving prefabricated houses to a mountainous area near the Barteh Pass, southwest of Jenin. The occupying regime has set up prefabricated houses in the south of the town, which is part of the land of the village of Zabdeh, with the aim of paving the way for the construction of a new town, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, quoting Mayor Ghassa Qabha.
The Zionist regime has not yet issued an official statement on the matter, but its prime minister, Naftali Bennett, insisted last June on supporting settlements across the West Bank after taking office. Israeli-Palestinian reports indicate that some 650,000 Zionists live in settlements in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem. According to international law, the West Bank and East Jerusalem are occupied territories and any settlement activity is prohibited on them.
