Islamabad:
A blast at a section of Pakistan’s largest military and defense equipment manufacturing complex 40km from Islamabad on Thursday killed three and injured two. The blast took place in the town of Wah Cantt , 40km from Islamabad.
According to Pakistani official sources, the blast took place in a section of the Ammunition Production Complex (POF) in Wah Cantt, 40 km from the capital Islamabad. The Pakistani military said in a statement that the incident took place today. The malfunction resulted in the death of three employees of the Military Equipment Production Center and the injury of two others.
Pakistani media reported that a rapid reaction team of security agencies was monitoring the scene and details of the blast were being tracked and reviewed.
According to IRNA, Pakistan Arms Production Complex produces more than 70 different types of land and sea weapons including light weapons, heavy weapons, bullets of different sizes, tanks, artillery, mortars, various tank bullets, cannons. And mortar etc.
