The lawyer for an American scientist who worked for the federal government said Monday that the US government had agreed to compensate him, who had filed a grievance lawsuit against the Trump administration over Corona.
Dr. Debra Katz, Dr. Rick Bright’s lawyer, said she, who previously worked for the US Department of Health and Human Services, reached an agreement with the department.
According to the Hill news website, Rick Bright headed the Office of Advanced Medical Research and Development until he was fired in April 2020.
In his revealing complaint, Bright said the former government preferred politics to science, adding that his efforts to block the use of the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus were one of the reasons for his ouster.
According to the complaint, he pressured the US Department of Health and Human Services about the threat of the virus and the urgent need for action, but was met with indifference, which gradually led to hostility from the ministry’s leadership.
As he pressures US Department of Health officials to provide the resources needed to begin developing vaccines, drugs and diagnostics to fight coronavirus disease, former Health Minister Alex Azar instead focuses on downplaying the threat of the virus, he said.
After being fired as head of the Office of Advanced Medical Research and Development, he was given a much more limited role at the US Department of Health’s National Institutes of Health to develop corona treatment. He then filed a lawsuit accusing senior US State Department officials of plotting to discredit him and prevent him from succeeding in his new role.
According to his lawyer, the employment claims have been resolved for you, but the investigation into his allegations of serious government violations continues.
The Office of the Special Adviser to the United States, the watchdog agency that investigates government whistleblowers, has already found reasonable grounds for the Trump administration’s retaliatory actions against you. The Trump administration’s health ministry has denied the allegations.
The Katz office said in a statement that you have been compensated to the extent permitted by law. Bright resigned from the National Institutes of Health in October. After his departure from the Trump administration, he served on Biden’s transition team as a member of the White House Corona Task Force.
He has complained about the Trump administration’s underemployment and the controversy over his actions against Corona while in the White House, while he himself recently claimed, citing the corona outbreak in the United States, that his administration would not be able to accelerate production. The Covid-19 vaccine killed 100 million people.
